Like most other businesses out there, we’ve had a few changes to our team this year with people retiring, moving on or changing their roles. This allowed us to also look at the way we were delivering our services to ensure we are remaining as efficient as possible while still meeting the high standards we expect plus assess what type of people would be the best fit for our team here.

As a family-oriented firm, we all place a high value on life/work balance and provide flexible work hours as well as opportunities to work remotely when required. The past two years have created some very positive changes for our business and our team.

 

New Staff Welcome

ANGELA MARTIN

Angela joined our firm in 2022 after making the decision to move to Tauranga from her home town of Hamilton. Previously working in chartered accounting firms of a similar size to REAL CA, Angela especially appreciated the family feel and flexible work hours offered by our firm.

Angela is a Senior Accountant/Client Manager who also is a Xero Advisor and is Xero Payroll Certified.

In her personal time, Angela and her husband really enjoy tramping, and have a goal to do all the great walks of New Zealand. To keep themselves tramping fit, they also walk up and around Mauao most weekends plus go trail bike riding, and Angela is a keen gardener too.

 

GANG LIU

Originally from central China, Gang moved to New Zealand in 2015 and to Tauranga in 2021. He recently joined our firm, and we have been appreciating his skills and quiet, friendly presence since then.

Gang is an Intermediate Accountant/Client Manager and Xero Advisor.

Gang is a keen runner, clocking in around 30km each week during his 3x weekly runs so he’ll be a great asset for our next fun run/walk we enter as a business!

 

EMILY BOX

Currently studying Computer Science full-time at Waikato University, Emily is working with us during her precious free periods each week to provide administration assistance to our team.

Emily’s primary role with us is to support our administration staff as well as our Client Managers when needed.
