Sean Washer

Sean originally joined REAL in 2021, completing an internship as part of his university studies. After finishing his degree at the University of Waikato, he returned to Tauranga and began working full-time at REAL in 2023. Sean has since completed a Diploma in Chartered Accountancy and is currently gaining his practical experience, with the goal of becoming a Chartered Accountant in June 2026.

Sean grew up in rural Bay of Plenty and has a strong interest in agriculture and horticulture, which he specialised in during his studies.

Alongside his work at REAL, Sean volunteers at AIMS Games, supports canoe slalom events, and is an active member of the regional Chartered Accountants Committee.

Sean loves spending as much time outdoors as possible, with interests that span all seasons and climates — from hunting and fishing to snow skiing, boating, whitewater kayaking, tramping, surfing, and more!
